NCACAA Board Meeting Minutes Addendum

On July 29, 2003 State Treasurer Barry Foushee, following our parliamentarian on parliamentary procedures, sent out a written resolution to State Board Members to move funds from First Union Bank to the State Employees Credit Union. This resolution was sent out and voted on by the Board Via Email.
Resolution To Move Funds RESOLUTION to Move Funds of NCACAA to State Employees Credit Union WHERE AS, The currents funds of NCACAA are deposited in First Union Bank; WHERE AS, There is not a First Union in the new NCACAA Treasurer home base; WHERE AS, There is a NC State Employees Credit Union in most ever city of the state; and,WHERE AS, Article VI, Section 1 of the NCACAA By-laws states that the Treasurer shall deposit the funds of the NCACAA in a bank named by a formal resolution of the Executive Board as depositories for the funds of the Association; now therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Board of NCACAA vote by way of e-mail to allow the funds to be moved; and Be It Further RESOLVED, that with a favorable vote of the Board of NCACAA, the Treasurer will open a new account with the State Employees Credit Union and deposit NCACAA funds in said account.Those responding to the State President voting "yes" for the resolution were: Mark Tucker, Lenny Rogers, Jeff Copeland, Ben Chase, David Fogarty, Jeff Vance, Bill Ellers, Mike Carroll, Mac Gibbs, Emily Revels, Brian Beer, Joanna Radford, Barry Foushee
This was a majority of the State Board, so resolution carried. As instructed by the State President, Treasurer moved funds on Friday August 1, 2003.
